Coca-Cola® Give Back! – Brazil 2014

Sorry, let me take it down a notch… I don’t think there is a single South African that isn’t excited about the fast approaching 2014 FIFA World Cup™. We’re all still reminiscing about what a phenomenal experience it was when South Africa hosted it in 2010, the year that changed this English lad’s life and secured my safe passage to a career right here in Mzansi.

COPA Coca-Cola®

This year, Coca-Cola® wants to make sure that the true football fans and aspiring footballers are able to reach the action live (and not just one TV) so the COPA Coca-Cola® programme will be sending four (very, very lucky) young football players to Brazil for a once in a lifetime experience.

These boys have been selected through the COPA Coca-Cola Tournament 2013 season.  The goal for COPA Coca-Cola® is to unite teens in over 60 countries around the world to celebrate their passion for football.  Consequently it also helps to highlight Coca-Cola’s drive in encouraging and promoting an active healthy lifestyle through sport participation.

The four lads, Dlozi Ndaba, 15, Khulekani Khubeka, 15, Luyanda Mdlalose (15) and Carl van Rensburg (16),  will receive training from top coaches and get the unique opportunity to be involved in the opening ceremony in Brazil. Sounds pretty rad, right?

The Boys:

As for me, I’m going to be following their journey as they venture across the globe and get the rare opportunity to watch the FIFA World Cup™ live in Brazil, the country that made the game beautiful.  These four youngsters have given everything for football, now football gives back to them with COPA Coca-Cola®!

If you want to hear more about what the lads are getting up to, make sure you keep checking my blog, follow @CocaCola and keep an eye on the #WorldsCupZA hashtag.
