I played basketball when I was a kid. I was never anything special, but I wasn’t bad and my school actually managed to get into the finals of a tournament in my city at one stage, I liked playing and it was the Harlem Globetrotters that I liked watching the most.
I’d spend ages watching them online, but was never lucky enough to actually get to watch them play, however that is all going to change in July
Anyway… Long story short, I’ve got two tickets to giveaway for one of the nights that the Globies are here, so you and a mate can go watch their basketball madness free of charge
To enter the competition is simple, just tweet me saying:
“Hey @YesWeCrann, I want go and watch the @GlobetrottersSA strut their stuff in *Insert preferred city here*! #GlobetrottersSA”
Heres a bit of what they do…
I can promise you that these guys put on one helluva show, and whether you see the Globies in Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban, I know you’re going to have a great night!
*Competition closes at 17h00 on Friday May 15th*
If you follow me on Twitter and/or Instagram then you’ll know how much I love my trainers. I would wear crappy clothes for the rest of my life if it meant I could rock the latest pair of Air Max every day, but let’s be honest, our wallets don’t always agree.
Shelflife, I’m sure, don’t need any introduction. They’re the best place to go to if you want the most recent releases in South Africa, whether it’s Nike, Adidas or whoever that tickles your fancy. It’s no coincidence that Kendrick Lamar and Chris Brown have stopped in not so long ago. Continue Reading
I do a lot of giveaways online, as many as I can to be honest, but it’s usually tickets or games or jerseys and stuff… This time around I’ve got some PROPER prizes for you lovely, lovely people.
As you may know, later this month (The 15th to be exact) a team of Manchester United legends will be locking horns with their counterparts from Orlando Pirates at Ellis Park Stadium as they attempt to roll back the years. Continue Reading
Guys, it’s time for one last post about the talented youngsters that Coca-Cola® took over to Samba Land, Brazil, for the opening game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the COPA Coca-Cola® tournament.
The COPA Coca-Cola® programme not only gave them the chance of a lifetime, it gave them many memorable experiences that they wouldn’t have had before. Their first flight, a welcome party and the chance to walk out onto a World Cup field was just the start… Then it was time to show off their skills. Continue Reading
How often have you heard people say, “These players don’t care, where’s their passion!?” Well, Barclays heard that claim, so they did a little experiment.
Robert Pires & John Aldridge try out the #YouAreFootball heart rate monitors.
Barclays’ little experiment involved taking a few Premier League superfans, some in their English hometowns and some thousands of miles away in South Africa, and kitting them up with a heart-rate monitor ahead of a big football game. Continue Reading
