Fans are discouraged from catching foul balls in baseball, but this time around, things went a little differently for Keith Hartley. This epic dad caught a foul ball one-handed during a Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers game. His reason? He was apparently worried that if he left the ball alone and the player didn’t make it in time to catch it, that the ball might ricochet off the railing and hit his 7 month old son. I’m surprised he walked away with unbroken/undislocated fingers. Catching a baseball ball with a bare hand is no joke, let alone one-handed and with a baby in the other hand – WHILE FEEDING THE CHILD!
The guys from Bad Lip Reading are at it again: in this new prime-time drama, the Redneck Avengers explore the backwaters of obsession, relationships, and crime-fighting in Oklahoma.
Every now and again a song will feel like it’s speaking directly to me, and this is one of those songs for me! “I Am” is from AWOLNATION’s new album, “Run,” which was released a couple of months back on Red Bull Records.
In an interview i read done by Tim Commerford (bassist of Rage Against the Machine) of AWOLNATION’s frontman Aaron Bruno, Aaron explained to Tim how he came to write the song:
“I played you an early draft of the record,” Bruno says. “I would say it was a year too soon, probably, to show anyone. But I felt excited about it, and some of the songs were there, but I’d say 70 percent of the songs that ended up making the record hadn’t even been written yet. ‘I Am’ certainly hadn’t been written yet. And I remember being devastated from the reaction that you had. Not that it was bad, I could just tell your feeling was — in the nicest way, you were sort of saying, ‘It’s pretty cool, but you’re better than this. And I expect more.’ And [‘I Am’] was one of the next songs I wrote.”
It’s crazy to think that even someone as successful and talented as Aaron Bruno can also feel disappointed in himself sometimes. A nice reminder that musicians are just humans too, with the same human emotions we feel.

This is why i would never have been able to live in a house-share situation…
“One of our college housemates gets scared at just about anything. Here are some of the best moments we got on film of him jumping out of his shoes.”
WARNING: it is a tiny bit NSFW – a little bit of man bum makes an appearance briefly.
I can’t quite remember who said it, but i remember a quote that said something along the lines of: we should remember our past so that we aren’t doomed to repeat it in the future. This online series hopes to educate us on the historical monsters that our History lessons might not have covered.
I thought it’d be relevant to post the first episode here, as it deals with Herbert Kitchener, the dude who literally invented concentration camps, and it happened here in South Africa no less!
General Kitchener was the commander of British troops during the South African War (Anglo Boer War), a battle between the Brits and the Boers over which nation would control and benefit most from the very lucrative mines in the region. The British took many prisoners, both white and black, and kept them in internment (concentration) camps. As you can probably guess, these camps were horrific, lacked food, and had people piled on top of each other.
Over 40,000 people died in these camps. And one of the worst ideas in history was invented. So thanks, Herbert Kitchener. Yer a dick.

For those that have Tinder, you’ll know that there are generous helpings of weird and crazy on offer… some profiles that could do with being more honest, and others that could do with being less honest. Jimmy Kimmel thought it’d be funny to get Jamie Foxx to sensually and romantically sing some of the profiles, and he was right… it’s hilarious.
The team behind “Grandmas Smoking Weed for the First Time” is out with another hilarious weed themed video — this time with ex-police lighting up. I feel like we should vote on what new group they get to do weed next! I vote for: pastors do weed, nuns do weed, athletes do weed… what do you think?
Those mustaches though! Hahaha. Brilliant.
It’s the music video that pretty much everyone is talking about right now, so i figured that it should probably find itself a permanent home on here too. Thor Rixon, who is wildly creative and ridiculously talented has got a brand new track and insane music video to go with it.
I’ve played a few of his previous singles on my show, and it’s always been a trip. If you want to hear some more of his stuff, check out his Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/thorrixon
Just in case you were wondering, this is my exact brand of weird. Love it:
I can see Tim Noakes making this his get-out-of-bed-in-the-morning song! #FukBread
I wouldn’t mind having this wake-up call every single day! Not only is the “wake-up” call only at 11am, but it’s also to the tune of the Circle of Life from The Lion King.
Apparently this has become a bit of a tradition over the years, and Spring breakers staying at the Holiday Inn in Panama City, Florida, are woken up every morning by the Lion King theme blasting out from pool-side speakers. Everyone crawls out of bed and onto their balconies to enjoy the song… and once the track is finished – it means that another day full of sun, sand, parties and surf await them TOUGH FREAKING LIFE!
In the latest episode of GQ’s YouTube series “Most Expensivest Sh*t”, 2 Chainz took a trip to Los Angeles to meet some of the “best bulldogs on the planet.” After hanging out with a pair of puppies, both of which are worth upwards of R100,000, the rapper gets to meet an adorable French Bulldog called “Micro Machine”, who has a price tag of over R1 million, and has bred over half a million DOLLARS worth of puppies.
I hate to say this… but 2 Chainz is actually hella funny. I’m not sure if he’s aware of his excellent comedic timing, or if he is totally unaware of the fact that he could very well be a darn funny tv host of sorts.
I literally laughed out loud at the “Thug Life” part! Check it out:
2 Chainz really likes dogs, but would he actually drop 100 stacks on a puppy? Maybe—if it knows how to bathe and feed itself and it’ll live forever. See what happens when the rapper visits a bulldog breeder who charges top dollar for premium pups.
